Where to begin?
Where everything starts—
The cellular level.
Where it began.
Welcome, I am grateful you are here.
I’m Lacey—MindBody Wellness Coach, Certified Eating Psychology & Colon Hydrotherapist, and founder of Aligned In Design.
For much of my life I didn’t feel at ‘home’ or at rest in my body. Since I can remember, I struggled with various health concerns and complex symptoms which in time led to a fearful, anxious, imbalanced and disordered relationship with both food and my body. Stepping into the role of a self-appointed physician to find relief, I adopted the job of investigator at a very young age.
Now more than ever, I am grateful to be living my story—one of hope, healing, and purpose. My mission is to help others reach their goals, discover new levels of freedom, and redefine their relationship with food, their body, and their journey through chronic challenges, uncertainty, and possibility.
I love art in all its forms. Health, in its dynamic grandeur, is an art. We humans are a masterpiece— a poetic reflection of creativity and story— interwoven with experiences and full of history and potential that goes beyond the physical.
That’s what I love about holistic wellness, ancient nutrition and alternative medicine—it acknowledges the whole person. It takes into account universal principles and understanding that leaves space for personalization and nuance. It sees the significance of the connected and integrated tapestry—from beauty to pain to potential.
I am thankful to experience, study, and practice frequency wellness and mind-body nutrition. I consider it one of the most brilliant of all the arts. I see myself as an advocate, chronic illness pioneer, and student of the healing arts. As a native researcher and investigator, my deep interest in the mind-body connection, epigenetics, understanding the body’s messages and using food as medicine has only grown more robust over the years.
I am, like all of us, a full-time student of life. Led by its unexpected turns, my journey has become one of my greatest teachers. Much of my early life was marked by persistent health challenges—a constant feeling of being trapped in a hypersensitive body, shuffled from specialist to specialist in search of answers and direction. The undertone of my story echoed with cycles of endless redirection and deep disappointment, weighed down by the magnitude of my symptoms. The limited approaches and lack of progress only fueled my inner knowing that there had to be more.
Seeking alternative medicine and ancient remedies, I committed to understanding my system—driven by the hope that life beyond the chaos was tangible. By turning toward my intrinsic design, I rediscovered the nourishment rooted in my natural origin, which deepened my dedication to the interconnectedness of gut, brain, and mind-body relationships. Progress came, symptoms lessened, but the chaos lingered—some fundamental pieces were still missing.
My journey unfolded within the complexities of a hypersensitive body that often felt like a trap. Specialist after specialist offered little beyond medications, creating a tiresome cycle that became a recurring thread in my story. Overwhelmed by unresolved concerns and adverse effects from conventional interventions, I felt misplaced in my own body—stalled by limited approaches and stagnant progress. In my late teens, a pivotal decision led me to choose lifestyle changes over prescriptions, launching me into a deeper pursuit of alternative medicine, ancient remedies, and the intricate connections between the gut, brain, and body.
Progress came slowly, but the chaos within my body persisted. After extensive testing, a deeper truth emerged: I had been unknowingly battling Lyme disease and co-infections for decades—compounded by MTHFR, MCAS, heavy metals, mold, and the lingering effects of an illness contracted overseas. My organs were under severe stress, nearing shutdown. The correct diagnosis came just in time, marking a turning point that launched me into a deeper season of discovery, learning, and healing. Recovery became a daily choice—an invitation to partner with my design and embrace the process.
In a world saturated with quick fixes, toxins, and mass production, the most integral elements of health—pathology, biology, psychospiritual roots, genetics, and environment—are often overlooked. I saw early on how disconnected conventional medicine can be from true wellness and preventative care. But I also witnessed how real nourishment restores our relationship with the body’s wisdom and our God-given design. The answers I tirelessly sought for year were now within reach.
The work I do now.
Since then, I’ve had the immense privilege of learning from and working alongside a variety of incredible practitioners and teachers— including Marc David at The Institute for the Psychology of Eating— as well as experts in naturopathic medicine, kinesiology, and functional wellness.
These influences have been instrumental in expanding my understanding of body intelligence and deepening my ability to partner intuitively with my own healing process. Their influence, mentorship, and shared wisdom have played a revolutionary role in both my restoration and transformation—personally and professionally.
Much of what I’ve received through those experiences has now been integrated into my own work.
Today, I see life through a renewed lens. Each chapter of my story has become a tool to help others gain direction, reclaim agency, and restore balance naturally. I truly believe that the way out is often through—and I will never deny the body’s ability to heal, nor our capacity to find life and freedom, even in the midst of limitations. My purpose now is to partner with others as they rediscover how to flourish in their natural design.
Why I created Aligned in Design.
Aligned in Design was created to be what I needed during the most challenging and complex seasons of my life. It exists to meet people where they are—not with formulas or fads, but with personalization and partnership. Your story matters, and your health is worth fighting for—with compassion, clarity, and care for the whole person.
Whether you’re a practitioner seeking more integrative resources to holistically support your clients, or an individual navigating chronic illness, looking for answers to unidentified symptoms, or simply ready to take the next step toward greater freedom through limitation—this work is for you. Through bioenergetic insights, custom coaching, nutrition and frequency support, and chronic condition mentoring, I help people reclaim agency, connect the dots, and find a sustainable path forward—one rooted in their unique design.
I believe in the body’s innate intelligence and beautiful design. True healing can’t be forced—it must be fostered. Our limitations and symptoms aren’t just problems to solve; they’re invitations to deepen our connection with the body and unlock a new kind of freedom. Answering that invitation expands our capacity to live well—while we’re alive. When we honor that healing isn’t a one-size-fits-all protocol, we create space for true transformation to unfold.
With hope, in more liberation and on purpose — by design.
