True Nutrition:
Food is life and life more than food. This vital source is more than what fills our plates, tickles our taste buds, satisfies our bellies and meets our cravings. It’s more than food. It’s energy, a doorway, an invite and it’s nourishment. In some ancient practices it’s considered a central part of a bigger experience of life. A large piece our very existence; benevolent to the human condition. In Ayurveda, it’s connected to the ‘Rasa,’ the taste, essence or the flavour of our being and our life as we experience and metabolize it. In Traditional Chinese Medicine it’s known as providing Qi, or life force energy which is essential to sustain life. As foundational as the what is when it comes to food source and quality, we are more than what we eat. The what is just as important as who we are as eaters.
This more functional approach views nutrition, life force and health through a unified root cause perspective using positive psychology techniques, intergrading various ancient practices, creating personalized wellness plans and providing individualized coaching and mentoring. By recognizing patterns that may not be contributing balance and restoring systemic harmony and by naturally working with each body type and goal, we aim to get to the core of the underlying unwanted challenges by investigating the specific areas presented and building blocks necessary to return to a state of health that fosters an unhindered, trusted, playful, and celebratory relationship with food, and both the body-mind and mind-body. Ultimately with self; doing so safely and effectively without trying to fix or control ones constitution, diet or body image.
From tracking and exploring symptoms, to incorporating ancient remedies and nutritive foods, digestive mapping, recognizing any emotional influencers and incorporating physiology, environment stressors, hinderances and more; we can step into another level of freedom, fine tuning habits and restorative rhythms introducing new tools to unlock and unblock ones overall wellbeing while harnessing powerful, positive and purposeful choices that synergistically support bio-uniqueness, natural vitality and longevity.
